02/07/2014 - Construction is complete and patients are now using the newly constructed rooms in the new emergency department at St. Anthony's Medical Center.

A ribbon cutting and blessing took place on Jan. 2. Construction began in September on the $1 million project.

Work included new flexible triage rooms, an EMS and Patient Flow Communications Center and a new front desk - all designed to reduce wait times and get patients to see a doctor sooner. Staff and doctors can now assess more patients' needs more quickly, providing immediate medical treatment and discharging or moving patients to appropriate care areas.
