Help Victims Of Hurricane Sandy, Run For Girl Scouts
11/23/2012 - Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri is teaming up with community supporters to collect winter warmth items for Hurricane Sandy victims at its first BIG - Believe In Girls - Run on Saturday, Nov. 24.
The BIG Run includes a 5-mile run that begins at 8 a.m. and a family friendly 1-mile walk that begins at 9 a.m. The run and walk will start and finish in front of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Council Office at 2300 Ball Drive, located off of Page Avenue just west of Lindbergh Boulevard in Maryland Heights. All participants will receive a medal for finishing the run.
Participants are asked to bring mittens, gloves and blankets that will delivered to Hurricane Sandy victims on the East Coast. Those who do not wish to run or walk can still bring donations and cheer on the runners and walkers.
